Information Security Awareness is the entry level course in the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) program. This course outlines today’s cyberthreats and advises how you can secure your information.
This course also provides the foundation for the NSE 2 level, where you learn about Fortinet solutions.

Cybersecurity Awareness Certification
The Information Security Awareness course explores real cyber threats that pose a danger to you and me. The course offers measures that you can take to protect yourself and others from harm. It also explains basic terms and concepts that will help you in your journey to better understand cybersecurity.
NSE 1 Information Security Awareness is the entry-level certification in the program. You will be introduced to today’s cyberthreats and advised on how you can secure your information. The Evolution of Cybersecurity, you will learn about the types of security products that have been created by security vendors to address those problems. The completion of all lessons and associated quizzes in this course completes the requirement to obtain the NSE 2 level certification.

This training course helps you learn about Fortinet products and understand the problems they solve.
NSE 3 introduces you to key Fortinet products and describes the cybersecurity problems they solve. The product lessons and use cases in this course are organized into the following Fortinet Security Fabric pillars: Security-Driven Networking, Zero Trust Access, Adaptive Cloud Security, and Security Operations. Cybersecurity Technical Certification
In this course, you are assigned a series of do-it-yourself (DIY) configuration tasks in a virtual lab environment. The configuration tasks cover some of the topics in the NSE 4 certification exam and include the use of the most common FortiGate features, such as firewall policies, the Fortinet Security Fabric, user authentication, SSL and IPsec VPNs, equal-cost multi-path (ECMP) routing, SD-WAN, high availability (HA), and content inspection.
This course is not a replacement for the FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure courses.
